Welcome to Capeside Canine Rehabilitation. Our focus is on thorough patient evaluations which provide us information to design the best rehabilitation plan for your pet. Our goals are to relieve pain, restore proper function and improve the lives of our patients.
We offer a variety of services that address orthopedic issues, neurologic issues, post- operative care, weight loss and conditioning, soft tissue injuries and performance and agility goals. Our advanced therapeutic modalities include: TENS, NMES, PEMF, Laser Therapy, and manual therapy. We provide a Home Exercise Plan (HEP), delivered through email, which is interactive and allow us to monitor your pet’s improvement. We offer nutrition counseling for weight loss and can recommend assistive devices to improve your pet’s mobility and comfort.
The initial examination usually takes about 1 hour and consists of a full musculoskeletal, neurological and strength testing exam. We will evaluate the pet’s gait, muscle circumference measurements, range of motion measurements, and the pet’s functional abilities.
After the examination, review of medical records and radiographs, Dr. Sami will formulate a problem list, treatment plan and goals for your pet. We take into account your long term goals and then we are able to recommend an in-clinic rehabilitation program for your pet, complimented with a customized home exercise program.
This information will be sent to your referring veterinarian to keep all your pets partners informed. We understand you have a great relationship with your primary veterinarian and we want to complement what they are doing to improve your pet’s life.
We look forward to meeting your pet and you. Please bring any special treats that they enjoy!
